If you want to advance your career to become a school administrator in the state of Florida then the answer is “yes”.  The Florida Educational Leadership Exam (FELE) was established as a standardized test designed to make sure candidates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to be an effective school administrator.  Make no bones about it, the Florida Educational Leadership Exam is a rigorous test that tends to cause much anxiety among candidates.  However, as with any test or challenge, proper preparation will help you succeed.

Important 2026 Changes to FELE

The Current Florida Educational Leadership Exam is being retired as of December 31, 2025. FELE 4.0 will roll out on January 1, 2026.

Here is some important information that you need to know:

If you’ve already started taking the current FELE, you will need to complete and pass all three subtests before the December 31, 2025 deadline. If you don’t pass all subtests by then, you’ll need to start fresh with FELE 4.0.

If you’re planning to take the FELE this year, then please start preparing for the FELE exam now as you will also need to pass all three subtests before the December 31, 2025 deadline. Order your FELE test prep materials, sign up for a FELE seminar or FELE tutoring, and pick up some FELE flashcards.

If you’re not planning to take the FELE until after 2025, then keep an eye on our website for further information and resources as they become available.
