Florida Educational Leadership Exam Test Question Categories

FELE test prep

If you are planning to take the Florida Educational Leadership Exam, you may have heard that the questions in each subtest are categorized by complexity.  It is important to understand what this means and how the questions in each category are structured so you can develop an effective FELE test prep strategy to tackle each question.  Let’s take a closer look at the three test question categories:

Low Complexity

This is most likely going to be a closed question requiring you to do one of the following:

  • Provide a brief response
  • Solve a simple problem
  • Identify facts, theories, or units of measurement
  • Select a definition

Moderate Complexity

Moderate complexity questions will often require you to analyze specific problems, apply theories and require more in-depth responses.

High Complexity

These questions are designed to assess how you will respond to specific scenarios. You will need to carefully analyze the situation and provide a valid, thoughtful solution that applies appropriate theories and aligns with approved problem solving strategies.
